2016-2017
St. Louis Championship
We went 5-4 and placed 29th in our division.
North Super Regional
We placed second in the qualifying round, so we advanced to the North World Championship in St. Louis, MO.
Minnesota State Tournament
We were the first pick of the winning alliance, advancing us to the North Super Regional.
St. Peter, MN Regional Tournament
Eagan, MN Regional Tournament
At our first regional tournament of the Velocity Vortex season, we were the finalist alliance captain, so we have advanced to the Minnesota state tournament.
2015-2016
World Festival Tournament
We competed at the World Festival from April 27th to 30th in St. Louis, MO. We finished tenth place in our division, and we were one of the six finalists for the Rockwell Collins Innovate Award. Thanks to all our sponsors and supporters for the great season!
North Super Regional Tournament
We competed at the North Super Regional tournament and won the PTC Design award. This award advanced us to the World Festival. We will be competing with teams all around the world.
Minnesota State Tournament
We competed in the MN FTC State Tournament on February 5-6, 2016. We were the second pick of the first place team in our division, team 10432, Untitled 1. Team 6705, the Motorbolts, was also on the alliance. Our alliance won the Nano Division and the tournament championship. We were nominated for the Stratysis 3D Printing Award, the Control Award, the PTC Design Award, and the Think Award. We won the Rockwell Collins Innovate Award. Lucas Iezzi and Claire Schleusner, our two team members who we nominated for the Dean's List Award, were both selected to become finalists. The ten winners will be selected at the World Festival. Lucas also won the Stratysis 3D Printing Scholarship.
Rochester FTC Tournament
We hosted the first ever Rochester FTC tournament. It was January 17th at Mayo High School. Great job to all the teams that competed!
Rochester FLL Tournament
We hosted the Rochester FLL tournament on Saturday December 12th. This involved setting up the tournament, selling concessions, and emceeing the tournament. There was also a JR. FLL expo.
Bloomington Regional Tournament
This was our first tournament of the season. We were part of the winning alliance and won 1st place inspire award. We had a ton of fun and wish to congratulate everyone that participated.
Barnes and Nobel's Maker Fair
Barnes and Nobel's was hosting a mini maker fair and contacted us about participating. While there we demoed our own robot as well as some of their products.
Boo Fest
We participated in a Halloween festival put on by the Rochester Public School Foundation. There we demoed a rubix cube solving robot, our previous robot, and had a bowling game for kids to participate in. This also acted as a fundraiser.
Mega Sports Camp
Nathan and Claire created a curriculum to teach Lego mindstorm programming to kids and then implemented it. The kids learned how to use light, sonic, and touch sensors.
Thursdays on First
We had a booth at one of Rochester's weekly events next to the Byron FRC team. There we had access to a dunk tank, which Claire went into. We also demoed our robot and had kids try to drive around an obstacle course. One of our sponsors, the owner of Professional Instruments, and took a turn dunking Claire.
RochesterFest
We demoed our robot at the Mayor's Kids Day at Soldiers Field park from 10 to 1 on June 27th. Team members from an FLL team and a FRC team were also be present. The event was very busy and the mayor stopped by our booth. This is also were we first met with Jonathon, one of the new team members, in person.
2014-2015
World Festival
We had lots of fun at the tournament, and we met teams from all around the world. While there, we participated in many of the fun activities and Claire spoke at the Jr. FLL closing ceremonies.
North Super-regional Tournament
We competed at the North super-regional March 26th through the 28th. Great job to all of the teams there.
Pancake Breakfast
We had a fundraiser at Christ United Methodist church on Sunday March 8th. It was between 9:00AM-11:00AM. We served pancakes along with demoing our robot! We had a great time!
FTC State Tournament
We competed at the FTC state tournament on Friday the 21st and Saturday the 22nd. We were 1st place in the qualifying matches! We ended up captain of the winning alliance along with be nominated for the control award, the motivate award, Rockwell Collins innovate award, and winning the 1st place inspire award! We will be one of six teams representing Minnesota at the North super-regional tournament. We competed against some amazing teams and had a ton of fun! Congratulations to all the teams there!
Valentines Day Scrimmage
We attended a scrimmage in Bloomington on Valentines day but had to leave early due to our robot breaking. We are working on fixing it so it is ready for the state tournament.
Pizza Ranch Fundraiser
We cleaned tables at Pizza Ranch as a fundraiser on Tuesday February 3rd 4:30 to 8:00pm. We had our robot with us, and shared about our experiences in FTC. Thank you to all who came! It was a lot of fun!
North Branch Tournament
On January 24th we competed at our second regional tournament. We were the 1st place alliance captain, our team mates being Team Steam and Genius. We were nominated in five different categories and won 1st place inspire award! Everybody there was awesome and we can't wait to see you at state!
Rochester FLL Tournament
We hosted the Rochester FLL Saturday tournament. We sold concessions, demoed our robot, and emceed the robot runs.
Rochester Public Library Research Symposium
On Saturday, January 3rd, we hosted an event that allows local FLL Teams a chance to present their research presentations in a public setting. It was hosted at the Rochester Public Library.
Edina Regional
On December 13th, we competed in our first regional tournament. We were a part of the 1st place alliance, with our teammates the Erector Sets Gone Mad, and our team captain: Fiery Ghost Peppers. We received the control award, and the 2nd Place Inspire Award! We are moving on to the state tournament in February. Great job to every team that was there, and we hope to see you at state!
CiCis Pizza
On Thursday October 30th, visit CiCis Pizza to help benefit the Robot Squad! Enjoy some fantastic pizzas, and learn about robotics from the team! Stop by if you're looking for a fun time!
Science Museum Demo
On Thursday, July 17, we demoed at the Science Museum of Minnesota! we had a great time and hope to do more activities soon!
2013-2014
Super Regional Tournament
We moved on to the Super Regional Tournament! This tournament will took place on April 3-6 in Iowa City. We had lots of fun! Thanks to all the teams and volunteers!
Pancake Breakfast
Our pancake breakfast fundraiser. All proceeds benefited the team. Thank you to all that attended!
Montessori Magic Night
We demoed our robot at an elementary school fun night! Some of the team members had gone to the school. Lot's of people wanted to know how to join a team or more about FIRST. We had tons of fun demoing and telling people about FIRST! We even had our robot high five people.
State competition
We received 2nd place Inspire Award at this tournament. We then advanced onto the North Super Regional
Panara Night!
Going to either of the Rochester Panaras on Tuesday, Febuary 4th from 2-9 PM supported Friedell STEM activities, including Robot Squad. 10% of the money spent at the Panaras went to STEM activities, including the Robot Squad. Thank you to all that attended!
Columbia Heights FTC Tournament - Saturday, January 25, 2014
We participated in this tournament and did well. Thank you to our alliance partners Robotic Adrenaline and Jag Wires!
FLL Rochester Regional Tournament - Saturday - Sunday, January 11-12, 2014
At Willow Creek Middle school - Rochester, MN.
We MC-ed and sold concessions on Saturday and demonstrated the robot on Sunday. We had lots of fun! Good job, teams!

Library Research Symposium
On January 4, 2014, we hosted an event called the Library Research Symposium. At this event, all FLL teams that wanted to present their research project, could, in front of the other teams. We had five teams attend: Peanut Butter Bots, Tech Monkeys, Hoover Jedi, Nature's Pentagon, and the Imagineers.
FRC Kickoff
We attended the FRC Kickoff event at Mayo high school on January 4th, and wished the teams good luck in their new challenge, Aerial Assist. Good luck FRC teams!
Jr. First Lego League Judging
On December 14, 2013, we judged the Jr. FLL teams from Washington Elementary school in a makeshift competition. All the teams received prizes, but the certain teams received certain prizes depending on how well they presented and answered questions. This event was lots of fun and also was in the newspaper!
CiCi's Pizza Night
On Thursday November seventh we were at Rochester's CiCi's from 4PM to 8PM.
We cleared tables and 10% of all profits made went to the Robot Squad!

Children's Museum Super Hero Scramble - Saturday, October 19, 2013
10 am - 1 pm at the Minnesota children's museum - Rochester, MN.
We showed our Lego robot from last year at the event and our FTC robot. We also gave out business cards and coloring sheets.
